American country singer Bryan White looked back on his connection with the AlDub phenomenon after sharing a throwback photo from his visit to the Philippines during the height of the love team’s popularity.
Posting on Instagram, White recalled his second trip to the country, where he met Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza on the set of “Eat Bulaga!”
“This is a great memory that just popped up in my feed. This was my second trip to the Philippines. I got to hang with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza on the set of #eatbulaga,” he wrote.
White also reflected on how his song “God Gave Me You” became closely associated with the love team.
“I owe them a lot. They were huge fans of my song #GodGaveMeYou and made it their theme song. The rest is history,” he added.

Released in 1999, “God Gave Me You” found renewed popularity in the Philippines after it became the unofficial anthem of AlDub, the onscreen pairing of Richards and Mendoza that drew massive audiences in 2015.
White later held a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Dec. 1, 2015, following the song’s success in the country.
The singer’s post drew nostalgic reactions from fans, many of whom recalled the impact of both the song and the AlDub phenomenon.
One Instagram user wrote, “This song will forever be an anthem for the AlDub community. I still fondly remember the days we’d stream it non-stop everywhere! It was a massive hit then, and it will always hold a really special place in all of our hearts.”
