“Eat Bulaga” host Maine Mendoza addressed an online user’s claim that she relied on artificial intelligence (AI) to explain her revelations in the “Tamang Panahon” podcast.
The actress-TV host on Tuesday, August 19, took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify her remarks about being part of the phenomenal “AlDub” tandem with Kapuso star Alden Richards.
Maine urged fans not to direct hate toward her former onscreen partner after her recent revelations resurfaced Alden’s 2023 interview with Boy Abunda, where he admitted to having confessed his feelings for her.

In her latest appearance on the podcast, Maine also admitted she fell in love with Alden but recalled that when she once asked about his feelings, he told her he “cannot” say since the “magic” would be “lost.”

After posting her written explanation about her podcast remarks, an online user accused Maine of using ChatGPT to draft her statement.
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by OpenAI that generates dialogue using machine learning algorithms to process and analyze data to generate responses to user inquiries.
It can perform a wide range of tasks, such as writing posts, composing music, generating AI art and solving equations, among others.

The comment of the online users has since been deleted, but a showbiz blog captured a screengrab, which reads: “Thank you, ChatGPT,” followed by a laughing-with-tears emoji.
Before its deletion, Maine was able to catch the comment and replied:

Her response has earned over 9,500 likes, 653 quotes, and 35 replies from other users who backed Maine.
“True! They don’t know how eloquent you are ever since,” a Filipino commented.
“These days, kala nila lahat AI powered… hayst… people who never truly write will [never] understand… hayaan mo na… hahahaha,” another said.
“Writer Menggay is my bias [heart hands emoji] OMG, [your] blogs [face-holding-back-tears emoji],” a different online user commented.
Maine was known for sharing her thoughts through her personal blog.
In 2017, she published her book, “Yup, I Am That Girl,” which she descrobed as a “dream” come true, having written consistently 2011, years before rising to fame as the other half of the AlDub tandem.
“I want to share my experiences and ideas with people; in the hope that I can make a difference in someone’s life through my words. I want to inspire them the simplest way I could,” Maine previously said.
