A parent appealed to pet owners to be responsible after a dog allegedly jumped from its stroller in a mall and attacked them.

TikTok user @lulilylemon shared that he and his one-year-old son were walking around the food court of Mitsukoshi Mall so his wife could eat, as their son was becoming “too clingy” to her.

He said he was letting his son practice walking on his own when a dog in a stroller “suddenly barked” and “attacked” them.

“Mind you, the dog jumped from the stroller and it was not leashed,” the TikTok user said in a post.

He said he “panicked and kicked the dog aside” to protect his child.

The TikTok user added that he shouted at the couple, asking why their dog was not leashed and describing it as “aggressive.”

“Wag niyong dalhin dog niyo sa public kung aggressive,” he wrote.

He said the girl allegedly told him, “Wag mo kaming i-judge.”

The TikTok user fired back, admitting he was “mad and pissed” at them for the incident.

“Your f****** dog just attacked me and my child, and the first thing you’ll say to me is don’t judge you?” he wrote.

He thanked the girl’s partner for being “calm” and “apologetic,” admitting that he was “close” to losing control after his child was put “in danger.”

“To all fur parents out there, I’m not saying na don’t bring your dog in public, but for f***sake, be RESPONSIBLE enough and put on a leash or mouth guard if aggressive dog niyo,” the TikTok user said.

“Don’t be like that girl na feeling na-judge dahil sa katangahan niya. She didn’t even say sorry, what a clown,” he added.

“Be mature and own up to your mistakes!” the TikTok user continued.

@lulilylemon Children’s SAFETY should be our TOP PRIORITY! Had the worst experience sa mitsukoshi mall sa bgc because a stupid dog attacked me and my child. I was walking around with my 1yr old and 6mos baby sa may foodcourt so my wife can eat since sobrang clingy nya sa mommy nya. We walked past breadtalk and i went ahead to call on him para ma practice sya mag walk. then this dog na nasa stroller suddenly bark and attacked us out of nowhere and mind you the dog jump from the stroller and it was not leashed. How stupid can a furparent be? Bringing an aggressive dog in public and not putting on a leash. And obviously i panicked and kicked the dog aside cause what else can you do in that situation to protect your child? after kicking the dog i shouted WTF and told this couple na may ari ng dog t*ng*na bakit hindi naka leash dog nyo kung ganyan? WAG NYONG DALIN DOG NYO SA PUBLIC KUNG AGGRESSIVE And guess what the stupid girl said? Wag mo kaming i-judge. Told her na what the f*ck do you mean judge? Are you retarded or something? Your f*cking dog just attacked me and my child and the first thing you’ll say to me is don’t judge you? I was so mad and pissed that i was shouting and cursing both of them. but kudos to the guy (partner nung stupid girl) who was calm and very apologetic. I mean thankfully he was calm cause im this freakin close 🤏🏻 in beating the sht out of him for putting my child in danger. After calming myself down we left cause in all honesty? I want to hurt that dog so bad that i had to leave so i won’t do anything i’ll regret later. To all furparents out there, I’m not saying na don’t bring your dog in public but for fcksake be RESPONSIBLE enough and put on a leash or mouth guard if aggressive dog nyo. Don’t be like that girl na feeling na judge dahil sa katangahan nya. She didn’t even say sorry what a clown🤡 Be mature and own up to your mistakes! panget mo na nga panget pa ugali mo 😌 be like me panget pero kind hearted hehe #childsafety #furparents #furbabies #dogsofttiktok #dadsoftiktok ♬ original sound – lululemon

His post has garnered 13,000 likes, 409 bookmarks and 675 comments, with most online users agreeing that dog owners should leash their pets in public spaces.

“100% fault ng dog owner. Dapat naka-leash ang mga pets inside malls. Nakakalimutan na yata ng iba na they are still ‘animals’ and can be aggressive at times. Masyado na kasing mga entitled ‘yung iba,” a TikTok user commented.

“I agree!! I have dogs and they aren’t trained for public spaces, so ‘di ko sila dinadala. Kung hindi nila ma-control ang aso, bakit pa dadalhin? Kung naka-stroller, sana naka-close and make sure na ‘di mabubuksan!” another user said.

“As a fur mom myself, as much as possible, I don’t let my dog come close to kids (and adults) kasi alam ko ugali ng dog ko. I’m always alert, kasi kids will always be curious. And of course, my dog’s always on leash, on diapers (and) may sermong nagaganap before umalis ng bahay (and) car,” a different TikTok user wrote.

Mitsukoshi Mall in Bonifacio Global City is a pet-friendly establishment that requires owners to either leash their animals or keep them inside strollers or carriers.

The mall’s pet policy states that it is the owner’s responsibility to keep their pets “under control from excessive barking at other pets and mall guests,” to supervise them, and not leave them unattended.

Mall management also reserves the right to ask pet owners and their animals to leave the premises “if the pets are exhibiting aggressive, threatening, sickly, destructive, or dangerous behavior against humans or other dogs in the mall.”
