
Artist Sam Concepcion drew attention for his physique after a clip of him performing his hit song “Dati” at a concert was uploaded online.
The singer was among those who performed at the Puregold OPM Con Generations 2026 on Saturday, July 11, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The event celebrated artists from different generations who have helped shape the OPM landscape.

During the concert, Sam performed his 2013 hit “Dati” with breakout P-pop girl group KAIA.
“Dati” was originally performed by Sam with Tippy Dos Santos and rapper Quest.
The song was released in 2013 for the 2nd Philippine Popular Music Festival, where it won the grand prize. It was composed by Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana.
Meanwhile, a video of his performance at the music event was posted on X (formerly Twitter), garnering over 677,000 views, 14,000 likes, 1,400 reposts and 2,500 bookmarks.

Some Filipinos who saw the post shared their reactions in the comments section and on quote posts, recalling their fondness for Sam in the past.
“I’m [in] my 30s and I still admire him the first time I saw him in that sinigang mix commercial ad. I was 8 years old when it came out,” an X user wrote.
“Gwapo pa din ni Sam,” another commented.

Apart from singing and dancing, Sam is also known for acting, having appeared in dramas like “Angelito: Ang Batang Ama” and “Mirabella,” as well as in various episodes of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”
He rose to fame in the 2010s with his performing skills and made a mark in the music industry with his hit song “Dati.”
Sam is now more visible on the theater stage, where he appears in musicals.
