Even as she shared a serious health update, showbiz personality Kris Aquino found room for humor, joking about her newly wavy hair after being hospitalized for high blood pressure.
Two fan pages related to the “Queen of All Media” reported that the former actress-host was admitted to a hospital after her blood pressure rose.
She is now in stable condition and under close medical supervision by at least four physicians, according to the Facebook page of Bimby Aquino Yap, her youngest.
Bimby, however, is suffering from sore throat, cough, and fever and is being attended by at least three physicians.
The page said Kris is humbly asking for prayers that her fever does not progress. It added that she is taking all of the necessary precautions and is currently double-masking.
‘Hindi sumusunod’
It also reported that she has grown new hair after a severe hair fall, but that it has turned wavy.
“Hindi sumusunod,” she was quoted as describing it despite attempts to brush it straight.
Kris is known for her sassy comments and quirky remarks, even in serious situations.
In 2024, she amused physicians by mumbling about wanting a “new pink Chanel bag” despite being under anesthesia.

Kris is battling at least 11 autoimmune conditions, which makes her health condition extremely delicate.
These include rheumatoid arthritis, thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), lupus (SLE), fibromyalgia, polymyositis, and mixed connective tissue disease.
An autoimmune condition occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, perceiving them as foreign invaders like bacteria or viruses.
