Kris Aquino referred to her youngest son, Bimby, as a future doctor while sharing an update on her recovery from a hospital procedure.
The “Queen of All Media” posted a photo on Wednesday, January 14, showing herself in a hospital, where she revealed that she temporarily stopped breathing for almost two minutes during what was supposed to be a minor procedure.
Kris said she underwent a PICC line (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) procedure, which is used for long-term intravenous antibiotics, medication, nutrition, or blood draws.
She shared that her lung briefly “stopped functioning” during the procedure and credited her anesthesiologist, two surgeons, and rheumatologist for taking care of her.

Kris also said she met with Bimby in her post-operative recovery room, referring to him as a future physician.
“In my post-op recovery room, it was future pediatrician/neurologist/or anesthesiologist Bimb’s kiss that made me realize we owe all of you my life,” she wrote, referring to God.
A pediatrician is a medical doctor specializing in the health, development, and care of children. Meanwhile, a neurologist focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. An anesthesiologist, on the other hand, specializes in anesthesia care, pain management, and critical care medicine.
Last October, Kris said she was fully supportive of Bimby’s potential singing career.
“From the time he was 11, he’s been my companion every time I’ve had to [be] put to sleep for the numerous procedures I have undergone. A singing doctor — thank you, hunny, for being the embodiment of what mama had wished for,” she wrote before.
In 2023, Bimby was spotted with executives from Cornerstone Entertainment.
Kris’ health struggles
Amid her health struggles, Kris is battling several autoimmune conditions, which make her health extremely delicate. These include rheumatoid arthritis, thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), lupus (SLE), fibromyalgia, polymyositis, and mixed connective tissue disease.
An autoimmune condition occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, perceiving them as foreign invaders like bacteria or viruses.
