A conference on exorcism next month in Makati City aims to help Catholics better understand spiritual warfare through Church teaching and pastoral ministry.

The conference, titled “Spiritual Warfare: How to Heal and Prevent Demonic Attacks,” will be held Aug. 8 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel on the fifth floor of Landmark Makati.

Organized by the Archdiocese of Manila Office of Exorcism and the Philippine Association of Catholic Exorcists, the conference will feature Companions of the Cross Fr. Carlos Martins, an exorcist and international speaker.

“For nearly two decades, he has faithfully served the Church through the ministry of exorcism, helping people encounter the healing and liberating power of Jesus Christ,” organizers said.

Martins also founded Treasures of the Church, an international evangelization ministry that has displayed more than 150 authenticated relics of saints in hundreds of dioceses around the world.

Martins hosts “The Exorcist Files” podcast and wrote the bestselling book of the same title, highlighting the Church’s teaching on spiritual warfare and Christ’s victory over evil.
