“May nanalo na!”
Such was the quip of Filipinos after the staff of a funeral service in Bataan joined the “Buksan Mo, Papasukin Ako” dance trend with their own entry.
Maurice Raymundo uploaded an entry to the viral TikTok dance trend on Valentine’s Day featuring MJR Funeral Services, which uses Willie Revillame’s 2007 song “Buksan Mo.”
In the video, the funeral service staff incorporated items such as a coffin, flowers and a hearse into their dance routine.
The post amused Filipinos, garnering 18 million views, 127,000 likes, 97,000 shares and more than 6,000 comments.
“Tapos na. May nanalo na sa trend,” an online user wrote with a laughing emoji.
“Sino nakaisip nito??!!!! Bigyan ng Bonus!!!!” another asked with laughing emojis.
“Sila na ang nanalo sa trending Bubuksan Mo… Abangan ko ‘to sa ‘KMJS’,” a different Pinoy commented, referring to the news magazine show “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho.”
“Solid ‘yung promotion video na para bang gusto ko na din pumasok,” another quipped.
The particular dance trend is popular on TikTok.
The song adopts the persona of an individual pleading with their love interest to open their heart and let themselves be loved.
