A 63-year-old man sparked laughter when he approached an individual in a shopping mall in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and asked where their vehicle was parked.

TikTok user Ara Pineda posted a video of her father asking an individual offering cleaning products whether he remembered their vehicle and where it was parked.

“Guard, saan kami nag-park? Natatandaan mo ba kami?” her father said in the video, which was taken on January 13.

Pineda said they had been circling the parking lot looking for their vehicle after forgetting where they had parked.

Her father later saw an individual in the parking lot who was selling cleaning products and asked him for assistance.

The individual responded by pointing in the direction of their parking slot.

“Natatandaan niya!” Pineda said as she shared a laugh with her father. “Ang galing ah!”

The next scene showed her sitting in their car, with her father behind the wheel.

“Okay na, nakita na namin ‘yung kotse!” Pineda said while laughing.

In an interview with GMA’s “YouScoop,” she shared that they usually remember their parking slot.

“Kaso may inaasikaso talaga kami tsaka pagod na, kaya nawala sa isip namin tandaan ‘yung parking. Naka-ilang ikot na kami, tapos nakasalubong namin ‘yung ‘Kuya’ na nag-aalok ng cleaning products na nag-assist sa amin, tapos biglang tinanong ni daddy saan kami nag-park,” Pineda said.

“Nakakatawa kasi natandaan niya naman. Sa dinami-dami niyang gina-guide, naaalala niya,” she added.

Pineda also gave a shout-out to the individual who assisted them.

“SALAMAT KAY KUYA!! Dahil sayo, nakauwi kami HAHAHAHA!!!” she said in her video, which has earned 400,100 views, 28,100 likes, and over 800 comments.

In the comments section, Pineda said that the incident happened in the parking lot of Southwoods Mall.

Meanwhile, it is not unusual for motorists to encounter parking attendants offering car wash services and various products in parking lots.

Many online users found the incident relatable, with others sharing their own similar experiences in the comments section.

“Oy, legit ‘to, husband ko, mali kami ng floor hahaha, hanap kami nang hanap. Kaya ang lagi ginagawa ng husband ko, tinatandaan na niya ‘yung sa ding-ding na nakalagay na letter ehh or number, hahahaha,” a TikTok user said.

“Na-experience ‘yan sa MOA [Mall of Asia], grabe, ang tagal namin nahanap, kaya ako, laging tandaan anong floor, tapos letter and number,” another wrote.

“Promise, may ganitong moment ako. ‘Di ko alam saan nag-park dati boss ko. Tapos pasakay na ako sa ibang car, biglang tinawag ako ng boss ko. Ano daw ginagawa ko dun,” a different TiktOK user SHARED.

Others offered suggestions, such as taking a photo of the nearest post where their car is parked, which has a letter and a number as identifiers.

“Hahaha, kaya ‘pag hindi ako familiar, pini-picturan ko talaga kahit ano pwede palatandaan. Tapos naka-notes ano floor,” a TikTok user said.

Car owners are advised to take a photo of their vehicles with a nearby identifying landmark, such as a post or a specific sign, to help them remember where they parked.

They are also advised to take a short video to give them a “you are here” sense of their parking slot.

Apart from these, drivers can also use their car key fob by pressing the door lock button twice to emit a sound they can trace. They may also press the panic button on their car remote, which is often red, to activate the car alarm and follow its sound.
