The management providing beep cards has provided tips on what commuters can do if they lose their concessionary card.

The Concessionary Card is a special discount card for students, seniors and persons with disabilities (PWD) who use the railway for their commute. It offers a 50% fare discount when used to pay for fares when riding the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3), as well as the Light Rail Transit-1 and LRT-2.

The beep card management said that commuters can apply for a replacement card if they lose their special discount card.

Here are the following steps:

  • Report the lost Concessionary Beep Card to the station teller at any train station
  • Fill out the application form and pay P130 (P100 for the Service Fee and P30 for the Card Issuance Fee)
  • Wait up to 10 days to receive the replacement card or follow the advisory from the station teller

The beep card management said that the “Service Fee” covers the transfer of the remaining balance from the old beep card to the new one.

“Laging ingatan ang inyong card para iwas-abala,” it said.

The concessionary beep card is a government initiative designed to help ease the financial burden for students, seniors and PWDs.

The discount will apply to their bus and railway commutes until 2028, the same year President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s term is set to end.
