A pickup truck was called out for counterflowing on a road in Bulacan to allegedly bring their children to school.
Facebook page “Parkeserye” on Friday, August 15, shared a reader-submitted video taken in Malolos, showing a pickup with its hazard lights on while counterflowing.
“NFK 1408 natagpuang t*nga sa Malolos! Late na daw ‘yung studyante niya. Ayan, ma-late kayo lalo,” the page said with quotation marks, presumably quoting the sender.
The video showed the pickup truck stuck in the lane, unable to continue counterflowing. A police officer with a helmet later arrived and directed traffic, helping the vehicle move back to the correct lane.
The video has earned 442,000 views, 4,900 likes and reactions, and over 1,200 comments, with some Filipinos expressing their ire at the pickup, which counterflowed.
“Isa lang ang masasabi ko, kung public utility vehicle ang gumawa niyan, malamang sa malamang, huli na, may sermon pa sa pulis. ‘Yan eh, nagkataon private na, mukhang may kaya, kaya nagmala-escort pa ‘yang pulis,” a Facebook user said.
“Time management: umalis [nang] maaga para hindi kayo ma-late. The reason you gave is not justified when you defy basic road courtesy. Sentido cúmon po,” another user wrote.
“So, responsibilidad na pala ng iba ang kapabayaan nila!? Okay. Mag-adjust na lang lahat, alisin na ‘yang mga traffic rules na ‘yan,” commented a different Pinoy.
