“Sa wakas!”
This was what Mikoy Morales quipped after fellow “Pepito Manaloto” actor John Feir finally attended the correct wedding after a blunder earlier this year.
On Saturday, March 14, John posted a photo of himself with Mikoy and the latter’s non-showbiz partner, Isa Garcia, on Instagram with the following caption:
“Right place at the right time (grinning emoji). Best wishes, Mikoy and Isa, love you both (smiling-face-with-hearts emoji).”
John’s post has garnered 136,000 likes and several comments, including from his friends in showbiz.
“SA WAKAS,” Mikoy commented with a laughing-with-tears emoji.
“Nadale din, Coymics,” John responded with the same emoji.
“Finally, hahahaha,” TV host Suzi Entrata-Abera commented with a clapping emoji.
“HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA,” actress Chariz Solomon wrote.
John also shared a video of him asking other wedding guests if he was indeed in the right nuptials.
“A-attend ako ng kasal ni Mikoy, ico-confirm ko lang dun sa mga taong ito kung nasa tamang lugar ako,” he said to his viewers.
“Tama ba ‘yung pinuntahan ko?” the actor asked, still looking at the camera.
“Yes!” the crowd behind him exclaimed.
John also held up a claim stub as proof that he was a guest at the ceremony.
In January, the actor mistakenly attended a wedding he thought was his co-actor’s. Mikoy explained that John had misread the invitation, which asked guests to confirm their attendance in January, while the wedding itself was scheduled for March.
John’s attendance at that earlier wedding sparked laughter among Filipinos, with some sharing sitcom-inspired quips. Both actors appear in GMA’s “Pepito Manaloto,” a long-running family sitcom featuring Michael V.
