Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel gave fans a glimpse of her Filipino dad’s creativity this Christmas season.
The half-Pinay shared a video on Monday, December 22, showing how her father, Remigio “R. Bon” Gabriel, decorated their home in the United States with festive lights and holiday decorations.
“His final set up for now… let’s see if he wins the Christmas light neighborhood contest for the [tenth] time this year,” she wrote on Instagram.
Among the decorations were parols, or traditional Filipino Christmas lanterns, which her dad said he brought from Manila.
In the video, her father jokingly asks, “Did you pay your fee for the tour? My Christmas light tour?”

Last year, R’Bonney also shared how her father went all out with their Christmas decorations.
“He’s won the neighborhood contest, like, [seven] times,” she wrote in December 2024.

Meanwhile, Filipinos are known for going all out when it comes to celebrating the festive season.
As soon as the “-ber” months begin, many start decorating their homes with Christmas ornaments, including parols, string lights and figures of holiday characters like Santa Claus.
