An old clip of PBA courtside reporter Apple David discussing that she had no interest in dating younger men has resurfaced online.

The 33-year-old last month confirmed that she is dating 18-year-old Chad Gammad of the Letran Knights, the basketball team of Colegio de San Juan Letran.

Rumors about their relationship first made the rounds in May after social media users noticed activity on their accounts. Clips also circulated online showing Apple defending their relationship, saying they had “clicked.”

On July 17, an X (formerly Twitter) user uploaded an old video of Apple talking about her preferences in a partner.

“Ayoko ng mas bata [sa’kin],” the X user wrote, quoting Apple. The post also included raised-hand emojis.

In the video, Apple was commenting about basketball player Kobe Paras, whom she described as “gwaping” but younger than her.

“Way, way younger ang alam ko. Pero gusto ko ‘yung appeal niya,” she said.

“Pero, usually, ayoko ng mas bata sa’kin so for Kobe Paras, totropahin,” Apple added.

She also described basketball player Ricci Rivero as good-looking but pointed out that he was younger than her.

“Pero again, dahil mas bata, feeling ko totropahin,” Apple said.

“Bakit ganun? Feeling ko ang tanda ko na! Grabe naman!” she added.

The post has garnered 533,600 views, 7,200 likes, 690 reposts, and more than 60 comments on X.

“May character development naman pala si ate, pabaliktad lang,” one X user commented, referring to Apple’s situation with Chad, who is 15 years younger than her.

“Ayaw niya ng mas bata, pero mas gusto niya ‘yung batang-bata,” another said.

“So kung bata na ‘yung paningin niya kay Kobe Paras, ano ‘yung 18 years old sa paningin niya? Toddler?” a different Pinoy asked.

“You’re cooked… kumakain ng sariling salita,” another wrote.

Apple earlier admitted that she and Chad had “clicked,”  saying that some things in life simply happen and that she “cannot explain it.”

She also acknowledged that theirs was a “very risky relationship” but appealed to the public to be “kind enough” to allow them take the “risk.”

“Sa buhay ba natin, lagi tayong nakakapili? Paano ‘yung mga bagay na biglang dumating na lang na sitwasyon tapos sometimes, you just can’t explain it. Like, I cannot explain it,” Apple said last month.
