Showbiz personality Kris Aquino hinted at a new source of inspiration months after confirming her breakup with a surgeon.
On Tuesday, September 9, the former actress shared a life update, revealing that she will be undergoing new surgical procedures as she continues to battle several autoimmune diseases.
Kris also shared that “so much has happened” since she was hospitalized due to her medical conditions, initially reminiscing about her past flame.
“For example, someone I loved and broke my heart because he left me when my health issues were getting worse, I don’t know how he knew where to find me, but about [ten] days ago, he surprised me, he said he wanted to see how I was, and a few days after via text, he apologized several times,” she wrote on Instagram.
“We know why we aren’t meant for each other because mine is a lifelong battle; autoimmune has no cure, his fulfillment comes from working [with] communities and going all over the Philippines,” Kris added.
Since traveling to the United States for her treatments in 2022 and returning to the country in September 2024, Kris was romantically involved with Batangas politician Mark Leviste and surgeon Mike Padlan.
She then opened up about having a new source of affection, months after confirming her breakup with Mike last March.
“God has a plan — recently, I got to know a doctor who I can describe as brilliant, brave, and very reliable — plus, he has good skin and great hair,” she said.
“He brings knowledge and genuine wisdom, plus, he shares the same Chinese Astrological sign as my dad [and] mom… I shared my personal life, but with no names because that’s how it will be,” Kris added.

Meanwhile, Kris’ update about her personal life, amid her medical condition and treatments, garnered several opinions from Filipinos.
“Partida si Kris, laging nasa bahay or [hospital] pero nagkaka-love life. Enjoy, Kristeta, and get well soon,” a Filipino commented with a laughing emoji.
“Bongga ni Krissy, ‘di talaga nawawalan ng manliligaw! Sana kahit papano, napapasaya siya,” another Pinoy wrote with a heart emoji.
“I wish lagi pa din madaming magpakilig kay Kris. Sana madami nanliligaw at nagmamahal sa kanya, para naman ‘di masyadong depressing buhay niya. Sana ‘yung may mga crush sa kanya, maglabasan na at let her know how much they admire her. Pangpa-lift ng spirit,” a different Filipino said.
Kris, who was born on the Day of Hearts, has been in various relationships, from co-actors to politicians to physicians.
