Frosty weather and centuries-old towers served as the backdrop for celebrities Andrea Brillantes and Enrique Gil as they filmed their latest series together in Prague.

QuenDrea, the newest onscreen loveteam and stars of “A Secret in Prague,” recalled their experiences filming in the cold European city.

Although it was her second time visiting Prague, Andrea shared that it was her first time experiencing snow.

“That time, first time ko lang ma-experience yung snow. And nung una, excited na-excited pa ko…Unang-unang kong ginawa, binatuhan ko agad ng parang snowballs si Quen kasi never ko pa yun nagagawa,” she said.

However, the freezing temperature eventually set in.

“Noong nagfi-film na kami, tapos noong pagabi na, ‘di na ako excited. Hirap na akong magsalita. Parehas kaming (Quen) nabubulol na…Nanginig na kami,” the actress said.

Andrea also shared that she wore lightweight clothing underneath her fur coats to look like a local, since her character, Chiara Valtrovi, grew up in Prague.

“For the fashion kasi dapat magmukha akong local. Ano, parang Elsa. The cold never bothered me anyway,” Andrea said.

“Pero, it did bother me. Big time. Big time,” she added.

According to Andrea, she and Enrique kept themselves warm by staying active and using heaters.

“‘Yung isang scene namin na mahaba po siya…I think six pages…Tapos ang dami naming linyahan tapos nanginginig na kami ni Quen,” she said.

“So, every time na tatakbo kami sa van, tapos kain ng kami pizza. Pizza yata ‘yung kinain namin tapos may mga heater kami…Hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yun,” the actress added.

Meanwhile, Enrique shared that he craved rice while filming in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

He revealed that they spent 10 days in the “City of a Hundred Spires,” including travel time.

Enrique also shared that Prague and the Philippines have some similarities.

“May mga similarities na hindi natin alam…May afritada din sila,” he said.

The actor emphasized that setting the story in a different city offers viewers new perspectives.

“It’s good to know other cultures kasi ma-educate natin ang ating mga kababayan,” he said.

“It gives a different flavor. Marami rin pong personalities ang ibinibigay ng lugar not only sa cinematic-wise even sa culture nila,” the actor added.

“A Secret in Prague” revolves around Mikoy (played by Enriqe), a Filipino waiter in Prague who falls in love with Chiara (played by Andrea), the daughter of a crime boss.

The series is now streaming on Netflix and airs on TV5 TodoMax Primetime.
