Actress Andrea Brillantes has stepped into the music scene under the persona RAMONA, launching a provocative debut single that takes aim at celebrity gossip and misinformation in the digital age.

The actress, known for her television roles and strong online following, introduced the alter ego with the release of “GAGA,” a track that frames rumor culture and public scrutiny as both a challenge and a source of creative defiance.

Just in time for Women’s Month, the single delivers a sharp-witted commentary on how narratives about public figures can spread online before facts are verified.

“People talk, people guess, people decide what’s true before they even know anything,” RAMONA explained. “’GAGA’ just throws it all back.”

Instead of directly addressing accusations often thrown at outspoken women, the song flips them into satire. Labels such as “pa-victim,” “malandi,” and “toxic” are repeated and reframed, stripping them of their sting and turning them into what the release describes as a rallying anthem against gossip culture and online mob mentality.

RAMONA described the track as “bold, emotional, a little rebellious, a little messy, and not pretending to be perfect.”

Produced by Tim Marquez and Sam Marquez of the band One Click Straight, “GAGA” blends grungy guitars, chant-driven hooks, and driving rhythms, combining abrasive rock textures with pop sensibilities.

The release also comes with a music video that presents the song’s themes through satire.

Set in a courtroom, the video follows an ordinary security guard falsely accused of stealing from a powerful figure. As the trial unfolds, the proceedings turn into a spectacle that highlights how power, perception, and public opinion can influence what is accepted as truth.

The music video stars Pepe Herrera as the accused protagonist, with RAMONA appearing as his defense lawyer.

The release of “GAGA” introduced the rebellious RAMONA persona to many listeners, with fans praising Andrea for embracing a daring new artistic identity.

“Talented talaga nito,” a Facebook user wrote.

“Grabe sobrang sipag mo naman at napaka-talented,” another commented.

Others likened her to Avril Lavigne and her role in “Kadenang Ginto,” Margaret Monragon.

“Baka avril Ramona Lavigne,” a Facebook user quipped.

“Ramona MONDRAGON,” another commented.

Others felt the weight of the song “GAGA.”

“Grabe yung bigat netong GAGA. Kahit ginawang pop rock, tagos ang lyrics, kitang kita sa mga mata ni Ramona yung finally nalabas na nya yung nasa loobin nya, matapos ang mahabang taon ng pananahimik sa kung ano anong ibinabato sa kanya na wala namang mga proof,” a fan wrote.

“Hindi lahat ng tao kasing strong nya, like sobra yung mga bintang, pambabastos, bashing .. kung iba iba yun, baka di kayanin…” she added.

“The song ‘Gaga’ is about a woman who has been misjudged by others. People wrongly speculate that she is sinful or guilty of wrongdoing, despite having no evidence to support these claims. The song explores themes of misunderstanding, false judgment, and the pain caused by rumors and assumptions. It highlights the emotional impact of being unfairly criticized and emphasizes the importance of seeing beyond surface impressions before making conclusions about someone’s character,” a Facebook user commented.

The track is now available on major streaming platforms worldwide through Sony Music Entertainment.
