A Vietnamese food shop in San Pedro City, Laguna, announced a temporary closure following a robbery incident.

Ga Nuong Nam Vietnamese Street Eats reported that the establishment was “robbed at gunpoint” at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.

It said its team was “unharmed,” but their personal belongings, the store’s cash sales, and the POS (Point of Sale) device were stolen.

The shop said it will remain closed “until further notice” following the incident.

“Thank you. Mag-iingat po tayong lahat,” Ga Nuong Nam’s announcement read.

“We are prioritizing the safety and security of our staff. Please bear with us as we coordinate with authorities regarding the incident,” it added.

The incident alarmed Filipinos, who expressed their concerns in the comments section.

Ingat po,” a different Pinoy said.

A Singapore tourist recently claimed to have been “drugged and robbed in Manila,” alleging that thousands of Singaporean dollars were stolen from her.

Earlier this month, a nail studio in Caloocan was robbed in broad daylight.

In the same month, a grandmother and her grandchildren in Novaliches were also victimized by a group that ransacked their home and even ate some of their food.

Last month, the Philippine National Police assured the public that measures were in place to prevent robbery and theft amid rising prices of goods and services.
