A Filipino amused social media users by pretending to sell peanuts on an airplane, mimicking vendors on commuter buses.

TikTok user @jaytouch35 posted a clip of a Filipino holding a pack of food and walking down the aisle with folded bills in his fingers.

“Mani, mani, mani, mani po, mani!” he exclaimed.

The man also joked that the peanuts cost 10 Euros and that they were “imported.”

The TikTok user explained that he was mimicking vendors in the Philippines who hop off commuter buses to sell snacks like peanuts to passengers.

The incident occurred while the airplane was still on the ground, with other passengers and some cabin crew members visible walking inside the plane.

It is common for bus commuters in the Philippines to encounter vendors who board the vehicle to sell snacks during the trip.

Typical items include peanuts and chicharon, fried pork belly or pork rinds.

By contrast, airlines, particularly on long-haul flights, provide refreshments to passengers mid-flight through their cabin crew.
