Boracay’s iconic White Beach has once again earned global recognition after landing at No. 6 in Tripadvisor’s 2026 Best of the Best Beaches in Asia list.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title is given to destinations that receive a high volume of outstanding reviews and ratings from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period, placing them among the top one percent of listings worldwide.
Tripadvisor cited the white beach as a destination that “draws a crowd for good reasons: soft white sand, turquoise waters, and amazing sunsets. It’s a great place to swim and snorkel, and when you’ve worked up an appetite, lots of local dining and drinking joints are just steps away.”
Stretching about four kilometers along Boracay’s western coast, White Beach is divided into Stations 1, 2, and 3, each catering to different market segments, from luxury and leisure travelers to families and backpackers. The shoreline remains the centerpiece of Boracay’s tourism economy, drawing visitors for swimming, snorkeling, island-hopping and other water activities.
Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco welcomed the recognition, underscoring its broader impact on Filipino communities.
“More than the recognition, what truly matters are the lives sustained through tourism. Behind every award are thousands of Filipino workers—our boatmen, hotel staff, tour guides, transport operators, and micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs, whose livelihoods depend on a thriving and sustainable tourism industry,” the Tourism Chief said.
Malay-Boracay Tourism Office also welcomed the recognition that reinforces the beach’s reputation as a world-class destination.
“This recognition celebrates our world-famous white sand, stunning sunsets, and the collective efforts of our tourism community,” the tourism office said.
“Mabuhay ang Boracay!” it concluded.
The beach located in Malay, Aklan, has also been recently recognized as the Best Luxury Island Destination at the World Travel Awards 2025.
