An old video of a pig disrupting beachgoers during their vacation at Port Barton in San Vicente, Palawan has resurfaced on social media.
On January 19, a radio station shared the video, which was credited to Guiller Palomo Soquiña, who reportedly wrote the following in a Facebook post: “He owns the island!!!”
The post was accompanied by rolling-on-the-floor laughing emojis.
It showed a spotted pig walking on the sand and disrupting some beachgoers, mostly foreigners, who were sunbathing.
Despite being a month old, the video resurfaced among Filipinos online when a Reddit user reposted the clip on the “r/pinoy” community on February 13.

The post has earned 2,000 upvotes, two awards and nearly 140 comments from Filipinos.
“Can I pet the dawg?” an online user commented.
“Welcome to the Philippines??” another quipped with laughing emojis.
“Ang kyut sana, kaso mahirap ‘pag dumami sa wild ‘yan,” a different Pinoy commented.
“Nangunguha pa eh, HAHAHA,” another wrote.
“Haha, kung magulat sila kala mo wild boar. Looks like a friendly neighborhood pig,” a different Redditor said.
“Katawa… kala nila mangangagat. Bro looks chill,” another commented.
It is unusual for animals like pigs to come near the beach, especially among people. Usually, these are dogs.
Meanwhile, Port Barton is a laid-back coastal village in Palawan known for its relaxed atmosphere, island-hopping adventures, and unspoiled beaches.
It is an alternative to more popular tourist destinations, such as El Nido, offering a tranquil, less crowded experience.
