The pericardium heart relic of Saint Carlo Acutis will arrive in the Philippines on Thursday, Nov. 27, for an 18-day pilgrimage across 16 dioceses.

Msgr. Anthony Figueiredo of the Diocese of Assisi, who oversees the relic’s international travels, said the journey aims to inspire young people and deepen their faith.

“Young people, you are all invited to come and venerate the relic of St. Carlo Acutis,” Figueiredo said in a video message recorded beside Acutis’ tomb at the Sanctuary of the Renunciation.

He recalled the words of the young Italian canonized in September 2025: “To love what awaits us tomorrow is to give today the best of our fruit.”

“That’s the invitation from St. Carlo Acutis as we begin the pilgrimage with [his] pericardium heart relic,” Figueiredo added. “For the Philippines, we say: pray for us, pray for this pilgrimage.”

The Nov. 28 to Dec. 15 relic tour is organized with local bishops and the Friends of St. Carlo Acutis – Philippines (FSCAPh), a group promoting devotion to the Church’s first millennial saint.

Bishop Dennis Villarojo of Malolos, episcopal promoter of FSCAPh, also invited the faithful to join in welcoming the relic.

The relic will make its first stop at Malolos Cathedral on Nov. 28, where Villarojo will preside over a 9 a.m. Mass followed by public veneration.

He said the saint showed a remarkable love for the Lord in the modern world, especially through his devotion to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

“It is a great blessing for our diocese to be part of the visit of St. Acutis’ relic,” Villarojo said.

The relic will visit at least 30 churches across Luzon, including the Catholic Social Media Summit at Manila’s Pius XII Catholic Center on Dec. 5.
