In a heroic moment, a man rescued a stranded dog from a rooftop as severe flooding hit Talisay City, Cebu, during the onslaught of Typhoon “Tino” (International name: Kalmaegi) last week.

Jun Anne Juarez, from Talisay City, filmed the dramatic footage showing a house halfway submerged in floodwater, with a frightened dog trapped on its roof as a raging river rushes behind it.
Moments later, a man bravely climbs onto the roof, carefully lifts the dog into his arms, and carries it down to safety.
The rescue has captured hearts online, gathering over 3.2 million views on TikTok, with viewers praising the man’s bravery and compassion during the disaster.

“Many families were forced to flee as the water quickly filled the streets and houses, leaving behind damage and despair,” Juarez said.
“Despite the pain and loss, the people of Talisay remain strong, holding on to faith, helping one another, and praying for recovery and justice.”
