A wacky mermaid pulled funny faces, making tourists laugh as they visited an aquarium.
Professional swimmer Cristina Jane Uy wore the usual colorful fins and suits but added a uniquely funny performance in Cebu.
Footage shows Mermaid Cristina swimming to the edge of the glass, puckering her lips and sticking out her tongue.

Parents and children were delighted as she scrunched her face in playful expressions to entertain them.
“It was at Cebu Ocean Park during an Easter Sunday event. I had a fun and playful interaction,” Uy said.
Uy, who started mermaid swimming in 2021, said she wanted her performances to have personality.
“I love engaging with audiences and having candid moments with them,” she added.
Professional mermaids are trained performers who specialise in underwater entertainment. They often adopt whimsical, playful, and cutesy personas.
The playful video has so far garnered 32,900 views, 516 likes and 35 comments on Instagram.
