Locals tried to rescue a goat stranded on a window awning — before it decided to simply jump off by itself.
Johndel Madrid and his friends spotted Kulet, the brown goat, standing on a roof in their compound in Oriental Mindoro.
Footage shows the youngster climbing the stairs before noticing the playful animal perched on the metal awning on September 9.
Fearing that the one-month-old kid might leap off, he called his neighbors to help catch it.
However, Kulet suddenly jumped off the ledge, prompting a woman to scream in shock as it landed safely on the ground.
Johndel said: “Kulet is a half-Philippine native goat and half-Boer. It loves to climb trees and other elevated areas like the roof.”
Experts said that goats, especially young ones, are highly playful animals, often climbing, jumping, and exploring unfamiliar places out of curiosity and energy.
