This is the heartbreaking moment a girl blew out her birthday cake at her mother’s funeral.
The bereaved family continued to celebrate Floren’s seventh birthday on the day her ill mother, Viancel, passed away in Pampanga.
Grieving her loss, Floren, dressed in a pink fairy outfit, walked through a white curtain as her relatives sang “Happy Birthday” on September 9.
Her eyes were visibly sad as she approached her father, who was holding a chocolate cake with a lit candle.
As she paused in front of the dessert, her loved ones could not hold back their tears, realising the child would have to grow up without her mother.

Footage shows Floren taking a quiet moment to make a wish before blowing out the candle.
Knowing his daughter would wish for her mother to return, the widowed father comforted her with a kiss on the head and a gentle embrace.
The room fell silent as everyone watched the father and daughter share the moment.
Ruzzel, Viancel’s sister, said: “At exactly 1 a.m., her mom flatlined after two weeks in the hospital. We decided to still celebrate Floren’s birthday on the same day, because her mother would have wanted that. Since it was her 7th birthday, Viancel had even bought her the dress for the occasion.”
