A motorcycle rider in Cavite was spotted dancing while driving a vehicle without a license plate.

On Sunday, August 31, the Facebook page “Parkeserye” posted a reader-submitted video showing a man performing stunts while riding his motorcycle around the Bacoor area.

“Nauuso na rin mga ganitong stunt dito, walang plaka, nagsasayaw habang naka-motor. Posting for awareness na din sa mga dumadaan dito,” the sender was quoted by the page as saying.

The video showed the man dancing without holding the handlebars and later standing on his seat.

The post caught the attention of Gabriel Go, the head of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Special Operations Group.

“Okay na sana, may helmet, nakasapatos and, in fairness, naka-riding gloves. Kaso… nagpakitang gilas pa disregarding his own safety and other road users! Wala pang plaka!” he commented.

Driving a motor vehicle without a license plate is prohibited under the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.

The law states that motor vehicles “shall display in conspicuous places” their license plates at the front and rear parts of the vehicle.

License plates act as proof that a vehicle is properly registered and legally allowed on public roads.

The law states that motor vehicles “shall display in conspicuous places” their license plates on both the front and rear of the vehicle.

License plates serve as proof that a vehicle is properly registered and legally authorized to operate on public roads.

Last month, the Land Transportation Office temporarily suspended the driver’s license of a motorcycle rider who stood and danced on top of his vehicle while stuck in traffic.

The LTO stated that he could be liable as an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle, a violation that carries a maximum penalty of driver’s license revocation..
