A publication material (pubmat) posted by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Lucena City, Quezon Province, drew attention for featuring images of politicians in a job posting unrelated to them.

The city’s PESO on August 7 announced that a supermarket chain in the area is hiring a company nurse.

The job posting lists the qualifications and other details applicants need. However, the publication also featured pictures of Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala and his father, Vice Mayor Dondon Alcala, despite the job being unrelated to them.

The supermarket chain is owned by a private entity.

Meanwhile, the image of the two politicians caught the attention of Filipinos, including “Follow The Trend Movement” or FTTTM, a Pinoy pop culture-oriented page.

“San po a-apply?” the page quipped.

“Our hiring managers,” the FTTM additionally quipped in the comments, referring to the two politicians in the pubmat.

“Sila yata mag-iinterview,” a Facebook user commented.

“Are you a nurse din po?” another commented.

“Dinaig pa ‘yung may-ari ng kumpanya, kayo po ba magpapasahod?” a different Pinoy asked.

In 2021, a similar pubmat posted by a school in Camarines Sur earned attention for featuring a politician in an announcement of a free photo editing class.
