Moviegoers and streaming subscribers have plenty to look forward to this July 2026, with new films and series arriving across cinemas and major platforms.

Here are some of the titles to watch out for this month:

Movies opening in cinemas

Universal Pictures’ “Minions & Monsters” opens on June 30. The film stars Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Zoey Deutch, Bobby Moynihan, Phil LaMarr, with Trey Parker and Pierre Coffin. It is directed by Pierre Coffin.

According to its official synopsis, “Minions & Monsters” is “the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.”

On July 8, Columbia Pictures will release “Evil Dead Burn,” directed by Sébastien Vaniček and starring Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, Maude Davey, George Pullar, and Greta Van Den Brink.

The film follows a woman who seeks solace with her in-laws after the loss of her husband, only for the family gathering to turn into a nightmare when they are transformed into Deadites.

On July 15, Universal Pictures will release Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.” The film stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron.

The synopsis says the film follows “the legendary tale” of Odysseus, played by Damon, as he journeys home after the Trojan War.

Closing out the month’s cinema releases is Columbia Pictures’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which opens on July 29.

The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo, and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

Its official synopsis says: “Four years have passed since the events of ‘No Way Home,’ and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.”
