Music fans around the world will soon be able to watch major music festivals live from home after Disney+ Philippines and Hulu announced that they will livestream the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and Lollapalooza festivals globally for the first time.
The streaming platform said subscribers worldwide will be able to watch performances, festival highlights and behind-the-scenes content in real time.
This year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will take place from June 12 to 15, while Lollapalooza is scheduled from July 31 to Aug. 3.
Filipino fans also have another reason to tune in as P-pop group SB19 is among the artists set to perform at Lollapalooza.
Lauren Tempest, head of Content Planning & Partnerships for Direct-to-Consumer at The Walt Disney Company, said the move aims to bring some of the biggest live music moments to audiences worldwide.
“Music festivals are among the most electric, can’t-miss moments in culture, and now Disney+ and Hulu subscribers around the world can experience the excitement,” Tempest said.
Meanwhile, Kevin Chernett, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Media Partnerships at Live Nation Entertainment, said music festivals are increasingly becoming shared global experiences through livestreaming.
According to the 2025 Live Nation Living for Live Global Study, 73% of fans said they are listening to more international artists than before, while 85% agreed that live music now transcends borders and languages. The study was participated by 42,000 respondents, aged 18–54 across 15 countries.
“Music festivals used to be experiences reserved for the people who could physically be there,” Chernett said.
“Now they’re becoming global live moments that fans want to experience together in real time, no matter where they are in the world,” he added.
Additional details about the livestream schedules and performances are expected to be announced closer to each festival date.
