Korean personality Sandara “Dara” Park expressed amusement after a Filipino commented on the name of her entertainment label.

The former 2NE1 member recently launched her own label, ARADNAS, which is her name spelled backward.

The label described the venture as a “new beginning” for Sandara, who is set to release her new single album, “rePRISM,” on June 20.

“Starting with this, she plans to continue various activities, including festivals, fan concerts, and an Asia fan concert tour,” the label said in a statement.

A Filipino who learned about the launch shared their reaction, saying they initially misread the label’s name.

“Forgive me, @krungy21, I read it SARDINAS, sorry na ate,” an X (formerly Twitter) user commented with a laughing emoji. “Sardinas” is Filipino for “sardines,” a small fish.

“Gutom ka siguro, no. Ok lang ‘yan~,” Sandara wrote in response to the X user, adding a laugh emoji.

Her comment has earned 2,500 likes.

Sandara was previously signed under YG Entertainment, the agency that launched 2NE1 in 2009.

She left the label in 2021 following the expiration of her contract and joined Abyss Company later that year. She is now going independent after five years with Abyss.

Sandara began her entertainment career in the Philippines before returning to South Korea in 2007.
