
An online exchange between Korean showbiz personalities Ryan Bang and Sandara “Dara” Park has gained traction among Filipinos.
On Wednesday, October 29, a user on X (formerly Twitter) noticed a lighthearted exchange of comments between the two celebrities.
Ryan is a Korean expatriate based in the Philippines, while Dara, who previously lived in the country, frequently visits for work and personal trips.
“A [two] Koreans talking in Tagalog [or] Filipino… aliw ‘tong si Dara at Ryan, ang kukulit,” the X user wrote, sharing a screenshot of their comments on Ryan’s Instagram post.
The screenshot has garnered 9,900 likes, over 990 reposts, and 31 comments on X.
On Wednesday, Ryan shared a photo of himself with Dara on Instagram.
He captioned it with, “Made in Philippines,” along with a Philippine flag emoji, and geotagged the post in Manila, Philippines.

Dara, who was tagged in Ryan’s post, commented: “Sino na kaya mas magaling mag-Tagalog ngayon?! Ang galing mo na ngayon eh!”
She added a grinning face and rolling-on-the-floor laughing emojis to her comment, which has since received over 1,500 likes from other users.
“Mas magaling ka pa din! Malinaw kasi Tagalog mo,” Ryan responded to her with a smiling face emoji.
“‘Yung sa akin, mahina signal,” he added with a laughing-with-tears emoji.
Similar to Dara, Ryan’s comment has received over 1,300 likes.
The playful exchange quickly caught attention on X, amusing Filipinos online.

“Hindi ko kinaya ‘yung mahina ang signal,” a social media user commented with a laugh emoji.
“Agree kay Ryan. Mas naiintindihan ko Tagalog ni Dara,” another Pinoy wrote with laugh emojis.
“Kaloka [‘yung] mahina ang signal. Magaling ka din Ryan, bulol lang minsan, haha,” a different X user commented.
“Humor nila Pinoy na rin, hahahaha, I love them so much,” another Filipino said.
Ryan moved to the Philippines in 2005 after his parents separated. His mother sent him to live with a close friend in the country.
In 2010, he joined “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash,” which paved the way for his entry into local showbiz as a comedic host.
Dara, meanwhile, lived in the Philippines for a decade and quickly gained popularity after joining the ABS-CBN talent show “Star Circle Quest” in 2004. She went on to star in movies and television series and released a self-titled album.
Dara returned to South Korea in 2007 but continues to visit the Philippines regularly.
