Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo officially ended her pageant journey after finishing at the top 21 of the prestigious pageant.

Rabiya failed to make it to the top 10 round of the competition held Monday (Philippine time).

Former beauty queens and some personalities still threw their support for Rabiya’s hard work in representing the Philippines to the international pageant stage.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach sent Rabiya messages of love on Twitter.

“Woooow this year is intense!! (shock emoji) Sending Rabiya all of our love! She made our country proud! (heart emoji) 11-year consecutive semi-streak Pilipinas,” Catriona wrote.

“Rabiya you made us so proud! We know you put your heart into this and we love you! Mabuhay ang Pinay!” Pia said.

Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa also expressed how proud she is for Rabiya in two separate emoji-filled tweets.

“Rabiya langga love you so much!” MJ said.

“Rabiyaaa! (a series of crying emojis)” she said in another.

Some social media personalities also continued to express their love for the Ilongga beauty queen.

“Thank you Rabiya! We love you!” Vice Ganda said.

“We love you, Rabiya!” Jose Dorado wrote.

Mark Averilla, popularly known as Macoy Dubs, also noted that Rabiya represented the Philippines well.

“Ang importante lumaban si Rabiya and she represented our country well. Pak na pak pa din, walang makakalaban. We love you, Rabiya! Maraming nakalaan for you. We’ll always root for you. #AribaRabiya,” Macoy Dubs said.

Some of Rabiya’s fans on Twitter, meanwhile, trended the phrase “walang kakain,” a Filipino jargon that translates to “no one will eat.” It is usually uttered when one is disappointed or in a bad mood over an event.

They used the phrase as they were saddened that Rabiya did not advance to the Top 10.

“She was determined and eager to get the crown and poured all her strength as much as she could. You’re still our queen!! We’re so proud of you!! WALANG KAKAIN!” a Twitter user said.

“You did so very well our queen (a series of heart emojis) congrats, we’re so proud of you and we love you! Walang kakain,” another user wrote.

In her previous introduction video, Rabiya championed the importance of education in changing the lives of Filipinos, particularly the Filipino poor.

“Education is our social equalizer that regardless of what background you have, what status of your family, if you educate yourself, you will be able to land a great job,” she said.

Mexico’s Andrea Meza, a software engineer, was named 69th Miss Universe.
