A health and wellness store raised awareness after its business permits and documents were stolen over the weekend.
Uncle Bob’s PH on Tuesday, June 16 said that its stall at Forbes Town in the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City had its documents stolen on the night of June 14.
The health food shop also shared screengrabs and CCTV footage of the incident, saying it wanted to “raise awareness” about the theft.
“For others, these may just look like pieces of paper. But for a small business like ours, these documents represent years of hard work, compliance, trust, and everything we have been building from the ground up,” the store said in a post.
“We are sharing this not to create fear, but to raise awareness. Business permits and documents can potentially be misused to misrepresent a brand, create false transactions, gain unauthorized access, or make future attempts appear legitimate,” it added.
“Because of this, we are taking the matter seriously and have already taken steps to secure our documents and monitor any suspicious activity,” the store continued.
Uncle Bob’s also warned the public against individuals using different or unofficial contact number while claiming to represent the business.
“Uncle Bob’s PH has not authorized any person, group, or third party to use, present, copy, or transact using our business permits, documents, name, logo, or brand identity without our written approval,” it said.
“Kindly do not transact, send payments, share information, release products, or accept any requests unless they come from our official pages or verified contact numbers,” the store added.
It also listed its official contact numbers and other channels in its post for the public’s reference.
“To our customers, partners, suppliers, and fellow small business owners, we kindly ask for your help in staying vigilant. If anyone approaches you using our permits, business name, documents, or a different contact number claiming to represent Uncle Bob’s, please verify directly with us first through the official contact details above,” the store said.
“As a small business, we work hard every day to protect the trust you have given us. Situations like this are disheartening, but we are grateful for a community that helps us stay safe, aware, and protected,” Uncle Bob’s added.
Uncle Bob’s offers blends such as mango black tea, sea moss iced tea and sea moss wellness potions, among others.
