Whether through a family meal, a weekend getaway or a practical present, this year’s Father’s Day campaigns are encouraging Filipinos to celebrate fathers through moments of connection and appreciation.
From family feasts and grocery bargains to gift guides and home gadgets, here’s a roundup of some Father’s Day offerings to celebrate dads and father figures.
Dining, shopping and travel perks
Metrobank has launched a month-long lineup of Father’s Day offers for cardholders, featuring discounts at restaurants, retail outlets, wellness centers and travel partners.
Among the participating merchants are Botejyu and Haidilao Hot Pot, where cardholders can avail themselves of dining discounts until June 30. The bank is also offering installment plans at Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetics Center, discounts at footwear brands Merrell and Sperry, grocery rewards at Waltermart Supermarket, and travel-related discounts and cashback offers through partner merchants.
The bank said the campaign aims to help families create meaningful moments with fathers through meals, gifts and shared experiences.
Father’s Day gift guide
Australian home and lifestyle retailer Anko has unveiled a Father’s Day gift guide featuring products tailored to different types of dads.
The recommendations include coffee-making equipment such as a coffee plunger and compact espresso machine, home accessories including lamps and aroma diffusers, travel essentials like RFID wallets and digital luggage scales and collectibles ranging from miniature sports cars to die-cast vehicles.
“Most dads aren’t looking for grand gestures. The gifts they’ll appreciate most are the ones that show you know them,” the brand said.
Anko also promoted gift cards as an alternative for shoppers who are unsure what to buy.
Feast for family bonding
Mang Inasal’s Father’s Day campaign centers on the different ways Filipino fathers express love through everyday actions and family traditions.
The grill restaurant chain highlighted shared meals as opportunities for families to reconnect and create memories.
“As a father, I realized that bonding does not always have to be big or elaborate,” content creator Paul Santiago said.
“Sometimes, the best moments happen over simple meals where everyone gets to talk about their day. Those are the moments my kids will remember,” he added.
Another father featured in the campaign, Jonathan Uy, noted that many Filipino fathers express affection through practical acts of care.
“Filipino dads are not always expressive, but we show love in practical ways,” he said. “We make sure our family eats well, spend time together despite busy schedules, and simply show up whenever our children need us.”
Father’s Day Piso Sale
Pandamart is set to hold a Father’s Day “P1 Sale” from June 19 to 21, offering selected products at discounted prices while supplies last.
The grocery delivery platform said the promotion is intended to make Father’s Day preparations more convenient for families.
“The Father’s Day Piso Sale aims to give families a seamless way to treat Dad without turning the celebration into another errand for him,” the brand said.
Pandamart also noted that it continues to expand its nationwide footprint and is transitioning more stores to 24/7 operations.
Household technology for dads
Technology company Dyson offers household appliances, designed to simplify cleaning and improve comfort at home, as practical Father’s Day gifts.
Its Father’s Day lineup includes the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum for wet and dry floor cleaning, the Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact for cooling and air purification in smaller spaces, and the Dyson V10 Optic cordless vacuum, which features illumination technology designed to reveal dust on hard floors.
According to the brand, the products are intended for fathers who value convenience, home maintenance and efficient household routines.
