Some Threads users took to the platform to share blunders they had experienced with various businesses.
On May 24, Gisselle Ramos Padrelanan shared that she ordered a cake through a food delivery app and left a note for the bakeshop containing her dedication.
“See Notes to Restaurant Surprise!!!” she wrote in the “Notes” section, meaning for them to write “Surprise!!!” on the cake.
However, she was surprised when the cake arrived at her doorstep with a different message.
The cake instead bore the message, “Suprised!!!”
“Red Ribbon Bakeshop, h*** kayo, pati ako na-surprise!!! HAHAHAHHA,” Padrelanan wrote.

“‘Di na sinulatan para daw safe, emeeee. Sarap, haha,” the “Klasik Titos and Titas of Manila” account quipped.
Another Threads user, Kat Tiga-Aguila, shared that her friend had ordered a rubber stamp on Shopee, assuming the seller was Filipino.
She also posted screenshots of her friend’s conversation with the seller, after the latter asked her to “choose” a font for the rubber stamp.
“Kung walang Monotype Corsiva. Code 37. Thank you,” Kat’s friend responded.
When the product was delivered, the rubber stamp bore the customized text: “Kung walang Monotype Corsiva.”
“Friend ko umorder ng Trodat sa Shopee. Kaso taga-China pala ang seller,” Kat wrote on May 27.

Kat said she had recommended that her friend make the purchase on Shopee, believing it would be a more affordable option.
The post reflect an “expectation versus reality” scenario, in which the outcome turns out to be completely different from what was anticipated.
