A cultural organization is offering a special Holy Week tour featuring various religious heritage sites in Metro Manila, all accessible via the LRT-1.
Renacimiento Manila is giving Filipinos the chance to explore landmarks of faith ahead of the Holy Weeek through a special commute, where participants will visit different churches near train stations.
Called the “LRT-1 Heritage Transit Tour: Biyaheng Simbahan,” the initiative will explore heritage churches, allowing participants to know “hidden stories” behind some landmarks and to learn from storytellers from the organization.
The activity is open to anyone, history enthusiasts, pilgrims, or those who simply want to enjoy a Metro Manila photowalk.
Participants will get to visit the following sites:
- Espiritu Santo Parish
- Capilla de San Lazaro
- Our Lady of Grace Church
- Baclaran Church
- Santa Cruz Church
The meet-up point will be on the ground floor of the LRT-1 Central Terminal, near the main stairs.
The activity will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22.
The fee for participants is P700, which includes a Beep card for the commute and a tour brochure.
