A post by a Threads user expressing that they could no longer cope, and appeared to be giving up on life, caught the attention of television host-anchor Kim Atienza and singer-songwriter Ice Seguerra.

Threads user @heyshijey wrote on Thursday, March 5: “Mama, Papa, hindi ko na po kaya. Sorry po.”

The post has garnered 20,000 likes, 2,200 reposts and 3,200 comments, including responses from some public personalities.

Kim, whose daughter has faced mental health challenges, reached out to the Threads user and invited them to watch the variety show he hosts.

“Watch ‘TiktoClock’ live next week as my guest? I’ll wait for you, ok?” he commented.

The Threads user “liked” the response.

Kim lost his youngest child, 19-year-old content creator Emman Atienza, last year. Emman struggled with mental health, including depression.

Kim has said that those with mental health challenges are “fighting a battle” that others cannot see.”

Last month, Kim responded  to a senator who said that today’s youth are “weak” and that depression was “unheard” of in his time.

Meanwhile, Ice also offered comforting words to the Threads user struggling with mental health.

“If you’re free on March 11, I’m inviting you to watch my gig at Noctos QC [Quezon City], my treat. I have some songs to share with you, to remind you you’re not alone. Let me know if you’re game,” he wrote with a smiling emoticon.

“DM me,” Ice added.

The singer-songwriter was referring to Noctos Music Bar, a live entertainment venue in Quezon City.
