“Parang live episode ng PBB!”

This was what a pageant page said about a video of Miss Universe 2025 third runner-up Ahtisa Manalo, who was welcomed by content creators and members of the media upon her arrival in the Philippines.

The 28-year-old beauty queen landed in Manila on Monday, November 24, after her original homecoming on November 23 from Thailand was rescheduled due to “recent adjustments.”

Ahtisa arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 shortly after 1 a.m., where supporters quickly welcomed her after representing the Philippines in the prestigious beauty pageant.

Aside from placing as third runner-up, she also won the Best in National Costume award and placed third in the Beyond the Crown advocacy project competition.

Meanwhile, a video of Ahtisa being surrounded by media personnel and content creators outside the airport was posted by the “Pageant Talk” page, which noticed some people’s behavior and quipped that they were acting like housemates on “Pinoy Big Brother.”

“Who would’ve thought na may magpupuksaan pa sa harap ni Ahtisa? Kaloka, parang live episode ng PBB!” the page wrote with emojis of a laughing-with-tears face and a grinning-with-sweat face.

The video showed security personnel shielding the beauty queen from eager individuals to keep them from crowding her.

“‘Wag kayong manulak!” someone was heard exclaiming from the sidelines.

At one point, Ahtisa was seen observing the commotion and briefly placing her hand over her chest in surprise.

Some security personnel also gave them a look, as if to warn them about their behavior.

“‘Wag kasi kayo manulak!” someone from the sidelines shouted.

“Tinutulak kasi eh!” the individual added.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) vice president Voltaire Tayag could be seen looking toward the area where the commotion was happening, his eyes wide and his expression visibly bothered.

“Guys, careful tayo!” an individual exclaimed.

In the end, Ahtisa was interviewed and then escorted out after a little over three minutes.

The behavior of some of the people surrounding the beauty queen was also noticed by Filipinos.

“Peste talaga ‘tong mga ulagang mga content creators. Uhaw sa content ang mga accla. Sobrang stressful sa part ni Athisa. Dahan-dahan, baka matamaan ang nguso,” a Facebook user said.

“‘Wag niyo naman patamaan ng mic… mahal namin ‘yan. Ikalma niyo lang naman,” another commented with emojis.

“Huwag niyo itulak ang JUSAAAAA!!!!!” a different Pinoy exclaimed, referring to a wordplay of the Filipino word “diyosa” or goddess.

“Dinumog na nila ang pambato ng Pinoy,” another commented with emojis.

The MUPH also shared photos from the event on its page.

“What an incredible welcome!” it wrote with emojis of a white heart and the Philippine flag.

“Fans and media gathered in numbers to greet Miss Universe 2025 3rd Runner-Up Ahtisa Manalo, showing just how deeply Filipinos celebrate their queen,” the org added.

Ahtisa was commended during the competition for her strong stage presence, poise, and her concrete answer in the Question and Answer portion of Miss Universe 2025.

The crown was won by Fatima Bosch Fernandez of Mexico.
