A social media user entertained Filipinos with a story about their mother accidentally using milk meant for coffee as an ingredient for soup.
On Wednesday, November 5, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared that their sibling placed warning notes on two boxes of Oatside milk for their mother.
One was a box of Oatside Chocolate Milk, labeled: “HINDI ’TO PANG CHAMPORADO!”
The other was a Barista Blend, with the note: “MAMA, HINDI ’TO PANG SOPAS!”
The X user posted a photo of the labeled milk boxes with the caption: “Sigurista na kapatid ko, nadala na sa ginawa ni mama sa Oatside, hahahaha,” along with loudly crying emojis.

The X user explained that the idea came from an experience their sibling had last October.

On October 13, the online user had the post:
“G*gi, kaya pala nagmamaktol kapatid ko. Ginamit ni mama ‘yung Oatside milk sa sopas. Please lang, ‘yung tawa ko HAHAHAHAHAHA,” the user said.

“KAHIT AKO MAGTATAMPO, HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA, SPANISH LATTE NA NAGING SOPAS PA HAHAHAHAHA,” another previously commented.
“‘Di ba!??? Like, ma, ang hirap maghanao ng Oatside. Pwede naman bumili evap [evaporated milk] hahahaha,” the uploader responded.

“Sosyal naman ‘yan, naka-decaf ba ‘yung sopas,” a different X user shared.
The uploader also shared an update on the story on October 15.
“Sa lasa, oks naman siya, normal pa rin na sopas? At sa kapatid ko? Ayun, mga isang buong araw niya ‘di pinansin si mama, kinain niya, fave niya sopas eh, nakasimangot nga lang HAHAHAHA,” the user said.
Oatside Barista Blend is formulated for use in coffee and tea beverages.
The brand describes itself as the “world’s most delicious milk,” characterizing its product as “creamy milk with subtle hints of maltiness and nuttiness.”
Meanwhile, soups are usually made with evaporated milk, a concentrated, nutrient-dense version of regular milk.
