
Distinguished chef JP Anglo, a fellow Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee, praised Morning Sun Eatery in Quezon City after it earned recognition from the prestigious culinary guide.
The Sarsa Kitchen+Bar owner shared photos of his past visits to the eatery in Project 4 on Sunday, November 2.
Morning Sun Eatery received a Bib Gourmand Award from Michelin, a distinction that honors establishments that serve high-quality food at moderate prices.

“This recognition from @michelinguide will change the landscape of Filipino street food [and] Filipino cuisine in general,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Our real local heroes! And this is just the tip of the iceberg… there are still so many Filipino eateries out there. A glimpse of the evolution of our cuisine,” the chef added.
“Thank you, @hapag.mnl, for showing me where you guys go for staff meal. Because of them, we are better cooks,” Anglo said, tagging the account of Hapag, a Filipino restaurant that was awarded one Michelin Star.

Morning Sun Eatery said it received its highest orders in its 30 years following its inclusion in Michelin’s Bib Gourmand list.
Lyn Mortera, who runs the eatery, told ABS-CBN News that their Ilocano specialties, such as dinakdakan and pork kilawin, had already sold out by lunchtime on Friday, October 31.
The eatery, known for authentic Ilocano comfort food like kilawin, sweet pork skewers, and pinakbet, is located at 170 JP Rizal Street in Project 4, Quezon City.
