Filipino restaurant Hayop in Singapore has been added to the Michelin Guide Singapore, earning acclaim for its bold and modern take on Filipino cuisine.

The restaurant is part of the Moment Group, which also owns Manila-based Manam Ayala Triangle, recently recognized in the Bib Gourmand category during the inaugural Michelin Manila, Environs, and Cebu 2026 Guide ceremony on October 30.

According to the Michelin Guide, “New restaurants are added to the Singapore selection on the third Wednesday of every other month,” giving inspectors a chance to spotlight fresh discoveries ahead of the annual unveiling of stars, Bib Gourmands, and other distinctions.

The guide described Hayop as:

“Hayop serves modern Filipino fare in a wood-rich space with a subtle maritime theme, a reference to the country’s fishing industry. The signature dish is Wagyu and watermelon sinigang, a tangy broth with fall-off-the-bone braised beef short ribs – best enjoyed with steamed rice. Pre-order the roast suckling pig 48 hours ahead; known as ‘lechon de leche’, it is copious enough for a few to share. Try their Asian-inspired fruity cocktails, too.”

In a statement, Hayop thanked the Michelin Guide for the recognition.

“We opened hayop in Singapore with the hope of creating a space where Filipino food could speak for itself. Being included in The MICHELIN SG Guide tells us we’re on the right path. And as much as we are humbled by this recognition, the journey is far from over,” Hayop said.

“There are still more plates to fill, mouths to feed, and hearts to warm both here and in far-flung shores. Thank you for this recognition, @michelinguide and for making room for our stories at the table,” the restaurant added.

Hayop’s inclusion highlights the growing international recognition of Filipino cuisine.
