A deadly cobra slithered into a family’s kitchen in the Philippines.

Homeowner Dandy Atacador was about to make lunch in Bulacan province on November 24 when the venomous snake entered through an open window.

It knocked over kitchen utensils as it moved around, alerting the resident who quickly moved away.

Footage shows the cobra slithering along the wall before Dandy bravely reopened the window and watched it go back outside.

“At first, we thought it was a rat or our cats that were just playing around. We didn’t know what to do since it was the first time we would have to deal with a cobra,” Atacador said.

“We have seven cats, but none of them wanted to catch the snake.”

The couple later reported the incident to the authorities.

The snake was believed to be a Philippine cobra, a highly venomous snake native to the northern regions of the country. Its highly potent neurotoxic venom can cause respiratory paralysis, muscle weakness, paralysis, and even death if left untreated.
