A loyal pet dog attempted to rescue her owner as she pretended to be drowning.
Nabi, a one-year-old Shih Tzu Pomeranian mix, saw her owner, Guaminia, playfully feigning distress in the sea and tried to save her in Batangas on August 12.
Footage shows the Nabi barking and spontaneously leaping into the water to come to the aid of her owner.
The courageous canine paddled in the water but couldn’t move forward.
Moments later, a tourist lifted the dog and returned the pooch to Guaminia.
“She was so clingy. I was swimming, and she couldn’t see me, so I pranked her. I pretended to drown to see her reaction, and we saw that she was panicking,” Guaminia said.
