Streaming platform Viki is putting the spotlight on Philippine dramas as part of its growing Southeast Asian catalog, pairing local titles with series from neighboring countries to introduce viewers to stories that share similar themes and experiences.
Among the Philippine series featured are “The Rain in España,” “The Muse of Section E,” “He’s Into Her,” “Safe Skies, Archer,” “I Love You Since 1892,” “Bad Genius” and “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.”
According to Viki, the featured titles explore themes that resonate across Southeast Asia, including first love, family relationships, ambition, self-discovery and personal growth.
The platform said these stories are complemented by Thai dramas such as “My Tutor, My Love,” “Rabbit on the Moon” and “Sunset in Winter,” which tackle similar themes through different cultural settings.
For viewers who enjoy campus and coming-of-age stories, Viki paired Philippine titles such as “The Rain in España,” “The Muse of Section E” and “He’s Into Her” with Thailand’s “My Tutor, My Love.” Romance fans may also find similar themes in “Safe Skies, Archer” and “Rabbit on the Moon,” while “I Love You Since 1892” and “Sunset in Winter” blend romance with fantasy and dramatic twists.
