Content creator and gamer Myrtle Sarrosa joined veteran Ragnarok Online players in examining the upcoming game “Ragnarok: The New World” ahead of its July 16 launch.

Myrtle, alongside fellow Philippine gamer Nikkinikki and Thailand-based gamers Junqko and Shipdont, was invited to visit the game’s Shanghai studio as “chief examiners” and conduct a one-day assessment of the development team.

During a livestream, the four gamers gathered questions from the Ragnarok community, with viewers submitting concerns about class balance, the trading system, and future update plans.

The questions were then presented to the “Ragnarok: The New World” development team during their studio visit.

The examiners said they initially expected a routine studio visit but found that the core development team consisted of Ragnarok Online veterans themselves.

The shared connection to the game’s history helped turn the meeting into a discussion between developers and longtime players, according to the release.

During the livestream, the development team was asked about the vision behind the project. The team said it was driven by a desire to create a next-generation Ragnarok experience and decided to develop the game themselves instead of waiting for others to do so.

The livestream also revealed that large-scale tournaments are planned as part of the game’s long-term roadmap. Myrtle and the other examiners also provided feedback from a player perspective during discussions with the team.

The group also received an early hands-on preview of Druid, a new class that will be introduced during the Southeast Asian launch of “Ragnarok: The New World.”

The upcoming title is the latest addition to the Ragnarok franchise, with the game set to launch on July 16, with available pre-register.
