‘My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON’ wins Anime of the Year at 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards: Full list of winners

“My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON” took home Anime of the Year at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, leading a fan-voted ceremony in Tokyo that drew a record 73 million votes worldwide.

Held at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa on May 23, the 10th annual awards recognized some of anime’s biggest titles and creators, with “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” winning Film of the Year and “Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow” earning awards for Best Action and Best Animation.

Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd presented the Anime of the Year award during the ceremony.

Celebrity presenters throughout the night included K-pop artist BamBam, rapper and producer RZA, K-pop performer TEN, actor Winston Duke, actress Rashmika Mandanna, actress and singer Asuka Saito, actress Kasumi Arimura, actress Nanase Nishino, Brazilian gaming host Nyvi Estephan and cosplayer Enako.
Crunchyroll said the most engaged voting countries this year were Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, and the United States, highlighting anime’s continued international growth.

Other major winners included “ONE PIECE” for Best Continuing Series, “Gachiakuta” for Best New Series, and “The Apothecary Diaries (season 2)” for Best Drama.

Director Tatsuya Nagamine also received the Global Impact Award for his contributions to titles including “Dragon Ball Super” and “ONE PIECE.”
