Due to public demand, the Filipino dub of the Oscar-winning political thriller “Conclave” is now available to Filipino viewers for a limited time.
iWant, a Filipino streaming platform operated by ABS-CBN, announced that it will offer the 2024 film’s Filipino dub to Philippine users until April 30.
“You asked, we listened,” it said on a social media post on Tuesday, April 7.
“Mas dama ang bawat linya at rebelasyon,” the streaming platform added.
It also provided the link where Pinoy viewers can watch the movie that won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by Filipinos, including content creator Rod Magaru, who joked that he would report the app if it did it not upload the Filipino dub.
“I-u-upload ba ng iWant ang Tagalog dubbed Conclave or re-report ko ang app, eme,” he joked on April 4.

The Filipino dub of the movie impressed viewers when it premiered on free TV on April 3, Good Friday.
“Ganda ng pagkakadub sa #Conclave, and more importantly, ni-retain ‘yung mga mahahalagang lines in its original language,” an X user previously said.
“I have only dreamed that Conclave will get a Tagalog dub and it is now a reality, huhuhuhu,” another wrote.
“It’s so beautiful huhuhu and the dub being available in free TV yesterday huhuhu, hopefully daghang na anyagan,” the online user added.
“#Conclave” also trended on X (formerly Twitter) following the premiere of its Filipino dub on Kapamilya platforms.
The movie has the following premise:
When a cardinal is tasked with leading the selection of a new Pope, he finds himself in a web of conspiracy and intrigue that could shake the very foundations of the Catholic Church.
The movie explores what happens behind closed doors during the highly secretive papal election, or conclave.
“Conclave” stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, Sergio Castellitto and Isabella Rossellini.
Based on a 2016 novel by Robert Harris, “Conclave” gained renewed popularity after the death of Pope Francis in 2025, when the Vatican had declared a “sede vacante.”
“Sede Vacante” refers to a period in the Catholic Church when the Papal See in Rome is vacant, which occurs when a pope has died or resigned and before the election of a successor.
Many have used the film as a reference for understanding the process of selecting the next leader of the Catholic Church. Pope Francis was succeeded by Pope Leo XIV, an American cardinal.
