Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi has dismissed breakup rumors with her boyfriend after speculations of him being involved with another former beauty queen circulated online.
Celeste shared a photo of herself with British tech entrepreneur Jonathan Sterling on Sunday, June 14, in which he posed with a thumbs-up emoji.
“Jonny and I are good. Our focus remains on caring for our child, Sergio, and supporting our family,” she reportedly wrote in an Instagram Story.
Sergio refers to the name of her unborn child with Jonathan, named after Celeste’s late father.
“I believe some situations call for greater consideration and respect, especially when a child and family are already involved.
Our priority is our family, and that is where our time, energy, and attention will remain,” she said.
“With that said, people can now relax and focus on their own lives instead. Thank you,” Celeste added.
A report previously claimed that Jonathan had left Celeste for Bianca Manalo, an actress who represented the Philippines in Miss Universe 2009.
Sparkle Artist Center, which manages Bianca, said that the actress is “single and not in any relationship.”
“We would like to clarify that there is no truth to rumors circulating about her involvement with another couple,” the talent agency earlier said.
