Actress-host Tuesday Vargas addressed critics after she posted about her experience of hosting a bingo game at a hotel.
The showbiz personality noticed some comments from Facebook users on Sunday, March 22, who called her out for accepting a hosting job involving bingo.
She also took note of the laughing reactions to her post, in which she had previously shared her experience as a bingo game host.
“Ang ganda nung event kaya kasi ang daming mababait na loyal customers ng hotel na kinausap talaga ako after ng show. Mga mommy na nagsasabi napapasaya ko sila at pinapalakas loob ko na lumaban. Pero imbes na masaya kayo para sa akin, nakuha niyo pa akong libakin at pagtawanan?” Tuesday said.
“Bakit ikinakahiya niyo ang trabaho ko? Ako nga, may dignidad akong humaharap sa tao dahil ‘yang hiya hiya ay ‘di nakakabili ng bigas. So tawagin niyo na ako kung anong gusto niyo. All I know is that I am good at my job and I love what I do, I will forever be grateful for it. You will not succeed in making me feel ashamed of my hustle,” she added.
In the comments section, Tuesday revealed that she earned P100,000 for hosting the bingo event.
Prior to that, she had posted about her experience hosting the event, stressing that she will never be ashamed of doing honest and decent work.
“Ngayon, if iba-bash niyo na naman ako at sasabihin na, ‘Ay, ano ba ‘yan, host na lang ng Bingo.’ Aba, ay bakit po? Never naging LANG ang trabahong ginagawa nang may dignidad. Respect the hustle, guys. Maayos, marangal at malinis na pera ito,” Tuesday said on Saturday, March 21.
“Sana i-divert niyo sa flood control ang inis niyo kesa sa akin na wala namang masamang hangarin, trabaho lang ang hanap. Kaya maging masaya na lang kayo para sa isang magulang na tulad ko na ang tanging hangad lang ay kumita para sa pamilya,” she added.
Last month, Tuesday expressed her need for projects and work opportunities.
Following her post, she has appeared as a host for a children’s party, among others.
